VixarScribe is a meeting-transcription app by Vixar. This page explains how to delete your VixarScribe account and the data associated with it. You do not need to be signed in to read this page.
Delete your account from inside the app
The fastest way to delete your account is self-serve, and it takes effect immediately:
- On the web: sign in at scribe.vixar.app, open Settings, and choose Delete account. Confirm in the dialog.
- On Android: open the Settings tab, tap Delete account, and confirm.
Deletion is a hard delete — your account and all associated data are removed right away and can’t be recovered. Any active subscription is handled for you: PayPal subscriptions are canceled automatically, and Google Play subscriptions should also be canceled in the Play Store (Google does not allow apps to cancel Play subscriptions on your behalf).
You can also delete any individual meeting at any time from that meeting’s detail screen, without deleting your whole account.
Prefer to request it by email?
If you can’t access the app, you can ask us to delete your account instead:
- From the email address you use to sign in to VixarScribe, send an email to privacy@vixar.app.
- Use the subject line “Delete my account”.
- We confirm the request comes from your account’s email address, then permanently delete your account.
We action verified email requests within 30 days and email you to confirm once it is complete.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your account profile — name, email, and profile picture from Google Sign-In.
- All of your meetings — recorded or uploaded audio, transcripts, speaker labels, and generated outputs (summary, agenda, decisions, action items).
- Your settings, usage/quota history, and any feedback you submitted.
This is a hard delete: the data is removed from our database and cannot be recovered.
What may be kept, and for how long
- Audio recordings are deleted immediately on account deletion. (Even without deleting your account, audio is automatically removed after your plan’s retention window of 7 to 365 days.)
- We may retain a minimal record of subscription and transaction history where required for legal, tax, or accounting purposes. These records contain no meeting content. Subscriptions are managed by PayPal (web) or Google Play (Android) — cancel there to stop future billing.
